First, after setting IP Addresses of the peripherals you need to connect and console it.
Pan on the terminal window and use the default settings configuration and after that
you may now access it’s content.
After using the default terminal configuration and setting the hostname to S1, we
need to configure the hostname and the VLAN 1. We need to configure port Fa0/1 and set it
to access mode after that the connectivity on S1 may build up using VLAN 1 and we may
now able to ping R1.
After configuring hostname and VLAN 1, we need to configure the current time using help. Accessing S1 and at the
privileged EXEC prompt, type and enter clock. Use the show clock command to verify that the clock is now
interacting with the current time. Use help to guide what steps are needed.

Last laboratory we configure password and encrypt password. This time we also need to set password and encrypt
it. We need to configure password for console and Telnet , set both of them to cisco
Banner is use to display strings or text all over your screen before logging-in. We need to configure the message to
show that you are now interacting with it. Set it to Authorized Access Only

We set the IP address needed to our canvass. Now we need to configure the router to make it work.
Accessing R1 and configure it’s hostname, encrypted passwork, vyt password cisco and the banner.

We need to configure port security by enabling port security it allows only one address
Verify that port security is enabled for Fa0/18.
Force S1 to learn the MAC address for PC1. Send a ping from PC1 to S1. Then verify that S1 added the
MAC address for PC1 to the running configuration. Test port security. Remove the FastEthernet
connection between S1 and PC1. Connect PC2 to Fa0/18. Wait for the link lights to turn green

We need to ping config PC2 to Switch. Reconnect PC1 and re-enable the port. To re-enable the port,
disconnect PC2 from Fa0/18 and reconnect PC1. Interface Fa0/18 must be manually re-enabled with the
no shutdown command before returning to the active state.

And after that check the connections on your cisco if it is now connected.

After configuring and setting all the terminal we need to secure unused ports
After checking and securing we need to manage switch config file. Back it up on S1 and R1 by rendering
it to our host
