Excelling At Your
Workplace
EXTON iret ulel: (oldExcelling At Your Workplace
What do you expect from your
workplace?
At your workplace, you are constantly looking
for developments, time freedom, increments
not just in monetary terms but also in the terms
of respect that you get.
You got to strive to exceed expectations not just
of your seniors and colleagues but yourself too.
But, genuinely speaking there are a handful of
you who are excelling at your workplace.
Rahul BhatnagarRest of them are not living and performing up to
their a full potential, just coming for time pass,
not genuinely interested in adding value to the
organization.
There are three layers of our mind:
Inner layer
Middle layer
Outer layer
The inner mind develops really fast. It is the
first one to develop.
Rahul BhatnagarWhen you focus on this, you just focus on the
survival. Whenever you do a task that you are
not used to for example, when you have not
slept enough, your inner mind tells you to go
and sleep rather than focussing on work.
Your mind stops you from getting out of your
comfort zone because it just focuses on survival.
Deep within you know it is wrong yet most of
the time you go with the flow that your inner
mind tells you.
Your inner mind focuses on survival and your
middle mind supports it telling a lot of people
are doing it, that’s okay.
Rahul BhatnagarThe outer mind, this is where the logical
thinking takes place here, a lot of people never
reach here. You don't take that decision.
You take advice from people around you. Think
about it, whether they belong to the category of
97% who are not successful or the 3% who are
successful.
Most of you know they are the ones who belong
to the 97% category.
Most people are not focussing on growth, they
are just focussing on the top two levels.
Rahul BhatnagarThe first thing to do is to start thinking logically.
Most of the time, you know what is right yet you
do not act, because we come under the
influence of other people.
You are like if others are not working in the
office, neither will |.
Start programming at your outer level.
Rahul Bhatnagar13 hacks to excel at your workplace
1.) Ask questions:
When you ask questions, you become much
better at it.
How many times do you stop yourself from
asking a question because you think you'll make
fool of yourself?
Ironically since you don't ask, you remain
a fool forever
Don't be afraid of asking questions.
Rahul Bhatnagar2.) YES mode:
Always be in the YES mode.
Whenever a new opportunity comes, go grab it.
Commit first and figure out the rest later.
Rahul Bhatnagar3.) Deliver more than promised:
Most people don't do this because they don't
enjoy their work.
Even if you don't like your job, do you have the
luxury of leaving that job?
If you don’t have that luxury, enjoy your work
even if you don't like it.
Just do it with more than 100%.
Once you grow and get to a higher level, your
probability of getting success increases.
