Exercise No.2 Inserting Header and Footers, Borders and Shading

Objectives:

At the end of this activity, the students are expected to

1. Insert header and footer

2. Create borders and shading on active document
Procedure
1. Open Word
2. Create a New file
3. On the Insert Menu, click on the Header icon then choose Blank type
found under the Header & Footer Tab;

On the Header Area, keyboard Cavite State University, then press the
enter key. On the second line, keyboard OFAD 100 – Integrated
Application Software. All alignment is on Center. Choose your font, font
size and style.

By scrolling down into the Footer using the vertical scroll bar, keyboard Your
Name on the first line then press the enter key. On the second line,
keyboard Your Course. All alignment is on Center. Choose your font, font
size and style.

3. Using the Vertical scroll bar, move on the header view. Highlight the whole text
and then click on the Home Menu under the Paragraph Tab choose Border
and then select Borders and Shading. On the Border dialog box, choose the
border, shade and style you want. Click on the Ok Command button once you
are finish.
4. Repeat procedure number 4 for the footer.
5. After applying the borders and shading, click on the View Menu and then click
on the Print Layout View.
6. Keyboard the following and format it as you wish. Line spacing is at 1.5
