Course outline
OCR Chemistry A is a linear specification. This means that you will be examined on all content taught during the
course at the end of your two year course. There are six modules which are taught over two years.

• Module 2 – Foundations in Chemistry

• Module 3 – Periodic Table and energy

• Module 4 – Core organic chemistry

• Module 5 – Physical chemistry and transition elements

• Module 6 - Organic chemistry and analysis

All external exams are at the end of the two year course.
