AMENDMENTS TO PRIMARY LEGISLATION FURTHER TO THE

ACCESSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA AND ROMANIA TO THE
EUROPEAN UNION
Further to the entry in force of the Treaty concerning the accession
of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union, the
following articles shall be amended as set out below.
III. PROTOCOL ON THE STATUTE OF THE COURT OF JUSTICE
1. The first paragraph of Article 9 shall be replaced by the following:
"When, every three years, the Judges are partially replaced, fourteen
and thirteen Judges shall be replaced alternately."
2. Article 48 shall be replaced by the following:
"The Court of First Instance shall consist of twenty-seven Judges."
