HOMEWORK 12

Speaking:
1. What other kinds of animals work to help humans? What do they do?
Dogs: They work as guide dogs, helping blind people. They work with the police,
detecting drugs. Another group helping sick people to detect cancer cells.

Horses: They are used for equine therapy, which can help children with physical
problems, autism or Down syndrome.

Dolphins: These animals help a lot to people who suffer from Down syndrome,
autism and cerebral palsy, being with a person who has a disability calms them
and generates a lot of relief.

2. Do you think it is fair to make animals work? Why or why not?

I think it is not fair, they should not work because there is a lot of abuse so that
they can learn the assigned work, they cannot play or have fun and only for 8 or
10 years later they are discarded and replaced by a younger one as is the case of
the Guide dogs, they will live their lives if they manage to be adopted with sequels
and I believe that no animal should suffer or be subjected to abuse of any kind or
for experiments especially to benefit only a part of humanity.

3. In what ways are working animals different to pets?

Pets are only companion animals, they can play, have fun, be calm in the house
sleeping, on the other hand, the animals that work teach them from a young age
various activities such as recognizing drugs, detecting odors, they cannot play
only they are taught submission, obedience They learn the orders that are sent to
them for each assigned task, carrying a harness.
