Policy for One Semester internship of BTech Students + 2021- 2022 drive The Centre for Training and Placement will give top priority for one semester internship, which is offered in conjunction with a Full time offer. The option for Full time offer with one semester internship is expected to attract more companies for placement and hopefully improve the placement scenario of NITC. The students who will be completing all academic requirements, excluding Project, at the end of their seventh semester, alone are eligible for opting for ‘one semester internship. The list of such eligible students will be made available by the respective departments. Students who are placed with a Full time offer with one semester internship will be de-registered from the placement campaign and will not be able to participate further in the campaign. Students who are placed with a Full time offer will also be de-registered from the placement campaign. They will neither be permitted to participate further in the campaign nor permitted to take up any one semester internship offer from any other company (through Centre for Training and Placement). This will ensure that the single offer policy of the Centre for Training and Placement is not violated. The single offer policy states that students will be permitted to take up only one job, which is followed in the interest of “greater common good”. {f 6 months internship comes with only a possibility of a PPO based on the performance of the intern, it will be put on poll, for the interested students to opt for it. Once selected, they will be automatically de-registered from the placement campaign. It will be in the best interest of the students to secure an offer from that firm.
