Your favorite board game
Another cool way to meet new
students at the beginning of the
year is to play a quick and easy
game. It is useful when children
learn something interesting about
each other and find out what they
have in common, but it is much
more useful when the teacher
learns about their interests and
preferences, because this valuable
information can be further used to
make lessons more personalized and even more engaging.
Your favourite
board gare.
Gh Ee
The game is good for groups and individual lessons, as well as for speaking
clubs. Perfect for a first acquaintance and to study such topics as “your
preferences”.
How to play:
Students take turns throwing the dice, make the corresponding number of
steps and talk about their likes. If the player is on the space with an arrow (e.g.
food), he names his favorite food, then moves to the space®) and says what he
doesn't like. Thus, he answers two questions at once. He starts next turn with the
space "dislike". The winner is the first player to leave the playing board.
P.S. you may change the rules as you wish.
