As I was doing this Education History Timeline I notice that all of these events and laws are to

help every student to improve their everyday school. As for an example Brown vs board of

education and Title IX are both similar as to one making equal facilities for white and african

american an any race. Title IX is alike to it because it protects any person in the united states

from being denied to any educational program. Elementary & Secondary Act and No child left

behind have the same goal as to provide equal educational opportunities for those disadvantage

and low income families. The Individual with disabilities education act is a newer version of

public law 94-142 as they both want to guarantee a free education for kids with disabilities to

meet their unique needs. A nation at risk can improve a better educational system and set a

requirement for high school students as to the common core standard wants to have a clear set

of shared goals that students need to know in each grade level in order to success. However I

think that the Lau vs Nichols is a very important law to help ensure non-english speakers to

receive instructions as other who speak english. I happened to be bilingual and english is my

second language so teachers really helped me understand it. I learned a lot from all these

events and laws that are very important in our everyday lives especially the one who are in

school. Our gender, race, or color should be important and everyone should be able to get free

education.
