By getting the extractor immediately after the hatchery it allows you to get metabolic 17/18
boost and a lair simultaneously. If your opponent scouted late, or doesn't have a good 17/18
understanding of build orders they may think you just went lair first and speed later, or
no speed at all. If you can kill their scout (especially before speed finishes), you can 18/18

We know he chose ion thrusters instead of spider mines because we would have seen
the machine shop stop spinning 10 seconds earlier. However, spider mines is still a 30/34

Some of Flash's errors come down to his building placement, one vulture got stuck next 31/42
to the barracks, you can see him trying to lift off to give the vulture room to escape.
Another vulture got pinned against the left side of the map when it was created. I think
flash could have survived with better micro and building placement. Losing his scout
was also part of the problem.
