Conclusion

Over the period of time, Nokia was not able to encompass changes as per customer taste and
preference, resulted in devaluation of its ‘most possessed’ customer loyalty. The rise of Apple and
Samsung is what drew them to the Company’s legitimate drawbacks. We have now seen, how
thecompany did not have a proper system of feedback mechanism and corrective measures. Nokia, in
the past, still knew how to innovate but chose to disregard the adoption of technology, as well as, to be
responsive in the global market. They decided to settle with the reliability of its product and consumer,
whereas this was one of the main reasons why they lost their position in the market. Correspondingly,
Nokia did not know how to insert thebusiness to the U.S, and resulted with a not so good impact to its
market share placement. Stephen Elop, together with the partnership with Microsoft,

made several efforts to revive the position of the company to the customer appeal and market share but
still failed. Let us just face the fact, that Microsoft silently killed Nokia, providing the point that after the
last product they produced, Nokia phones had deactivated for two years, and had never seen again until
the buyback of the Finnish company, HMD Global and Foxconn. Nokia commenced its comeback, by
bringing us to the nostalgia trip of old but upgraded phones although, they assured us that the business
will just leveraged the lesson from history by providing something entirely new. By far, Nokia is starting
to influence the market again with new strategies and affiliations.

It is undoubtedly, that with Samsung and Apple so far ahead in the position of the market share and
influence on the consumers, it will take years for them to be back on top. Some critics said, that it is
impossible for the Company to go back as one of the top players in the smartphone globally. As for me, I
consider them still as confident as they were. The only difference, is that they are now expressing their
confidence with the mixed up of presenting what they have learned from the past. It started to develop
business strategies which, the company overlooked in the past. Remember, Nokia's return is only a few
months old and they have already made an impact.
