DECLARATION OF CONFIDENTIALITY

hereby declare that:

If I am engaged as an official, a member of the temporary staff or contract staff:

I have acquainted myself with my obligations with regard to circumspection and discretion,
which requires me to refrain from any action or behaviour – such as posting information and
photographs on social networks – which might reflect adversely upon my position as a
member of the EP staff (Article 12 of the Staff Regulations) and, whilst enjoying freedom of
expression, to refrain from any unauthorised disclosure of information received in the course
of my duties, unless that information has already been made public or is accessible to the
public, and that I shall continue to be bound by this obligation after leaving the service (Article
17 of the Staff Regulations).

If I am engaged as an accredited parliamentary assistant:

I hereby declare that, in addition to the obligations above, I am aware that I shall also respect
the Member(s) of the European Parliament's image and the dignity of his/their office, as well
as to loyally carry out instructions given by him/them.

For all members of staff:

I declare also that I have been informed that infringements to these obligations are likely to
result in disciplinary measures, which could lead to a termination of contract (members of the
temporary staff or contract staff and accredited parliamentary assistants) or termination of
assignment (officials).
