Gate Discussion

In both counts exists a common theme of racism since Mr. Gates accuses the whites of

being racist. During his career as a professor at Harvard University, he was determined to fight

racism through the publication and editing of numerous books and articles on racism and the

culture of black American people. During his arrest, he complained of being mishandled basing

that complaint on being a black man. He thought if it was a white man would have been handled

differently. He thought the police officer was not responding to him since he was a black man

and the police were a white man. He realized how could vulnerable black people are.
