Peru goes to the World Cup

On November 15, 2017, Peru faced New Zealand at the National Stadium in Lima for the last

qualification quota for the 2018 Soccer World Cup. Our team did not qualify for the World Cup

for

36 years. Since the 1982 World Cup in Spain, Peru had not returned to this tournament. In

EstadioNacional the tears of players, coaching staff and tens of thousands of fans on the field

and

millions in the rest of Peru and the world were mixed. The first goal of the match was scored by

Farfán in the 27 minute. Christian Ramos, at 64 minutes, was in charge of scoring the 2-0 that

gave peace to a country that from that moment began little by little to believe that the miracle

would materialize. In this way the team would participate in a World Cup again. Many people

gathered in the Plaza de Armas to celebrate. I watched the game from my home with my family,

we were all very happy, I felt very excited because it was the first time I was going to see our

team at a World Cup. It was one of my best experiences.

Team members:

Espinoza Quipas, Frank Alí.

Wies Vasquez, Brandon Adrian.
