Facts Plus Television Pvt. Ltd.

On ‘X’ January 2008 the Facts Plus Channel released a brief version of its
programme which was to be telecasted on ‘Z’ January 2008, displaying one
dialogue between anchor girl Shweta Singh and Rohit Sharma among many
conversation that took place between them on ‘X’ October 2007 at Technology
Park, Bangalore.

The brief version not only shocked the software community but also
embarrassed Rohit Sharma.

Being aggrieved, Rohit Sharma immediately filed a suit for permanent

injunction and damages of Rs. 10 lakh before the City Civil Court. Bangalore.
According to Rohit Sharma he was unknowingly dragged into a conversation by
the anchor girl Shweta Singh and was made him to answer questions which he
would not have answered ordinarily. He further contented that his knowledge and
IQ cannot be tested on these matters and also said that he knows only software
and nothing more.

Contesting the claim the defendant Fact Plus submitted that Rohit Sharma
has not suffered any actionable injury and therefore the suit be dismissed with
cost. Further the defendant Fact Plus produced the transcript of the entire
conversation between anchor girl Shweta Sight and Rohit Sharma in a sealed
cover which is marked as annexure A
