I have been privileged to work with Cassidy Martenson as the Special Events Intern. My position as the Special
Events Coordinator for the Development division of South Bend Venues Parks & Arts allowed me to supervise her
internship for three months. I have known Cassidy to be a responsible, dedicated and dependable individual. She
has a great personality and always goes above and beyond. While in my position, I’ve handled the coordination of
the Grand Opening of Howard Park in November 2019; fundraisers; our week-long, annual festival called “Best.
Week. Ever.” and multiple ribbon cutting events. I have been thoroughly impressed by Cassidy’s performance in
the short time that I have worked with her.

Cassidy assisted in the planning of “Best. Week. Ever. 2020” prior to its cancelation due to COVID-19. While our
events had to be reimagined to accommodate COVID-19 restrictions, Cassidy was flexible, took initiative and was
always willing to step up to any task put in front of her. She was instrumental to the success of the “Stop, Pop &
Roll” events that we coordinated to replace “Best. Week. Ever. 2020.” Cassidy was motivated and self-
manageable during the heavy time of virtual experiences and thinking outside the box. Cassidy will certainly bring
positivity to your organization. I firmly believe that she will achieve great things in her future career.
