In this activity, it is expected to achieve the following learning
results:
The student will be able to write a text using vocabulary and daily
expressions in postcards as part of the communicative competence in
English.
The activity lies in:

Stage 1- Check the online content Level A1 (available at Learning


Environment) and study Modules 1 to 12 (Unit 1 and 2).

Stage 2 – Log in the online content “Level A1” and do exercises you can
look below; take screenshots of your answers and submit in the forum of
this activity, that you can find at Learning Environment:

Stage 3- Each student must do 3 postcards including a picture with the


following information:

Postcard 1 (Description): Description of a well-known sportsperson in


your department with complete sentences in present simple including
personal information like: name, age, occupation, (Check online content:
Module 1 and Modulo 3). A physical description must also be included:
weight, height, hair, eyes, etc. (Check online content: Module 7 and
Module 8).

- Postcard 2 (Routine): Description of the daily routine of the sportsperson


you chose. Use 3 or 4 sentences and different adverbs of frequency
(Check online contents: Module 6).
- Here it is an example of the second postcard:

- Postcard 3 (Comparison): Write 4 sentences making comparisons among


the spotsperson you chose and other famous sportspeople (Check your
online content: Unit 2 - Module 7 and Module 9.

Note: Each postcard must have complete sentences


(noun+verb+complement). Then access Learning Environment and send
3 postcards in the forum (files cannot be attached).

Stage 4 - Each student must check his partners’ postcards in the forum
and make 2 meaningful comments (appreciations, corrections, etc.) that
helps his partners to find out their mistakes and then strengthen their
learning and improve their writing.

Stage 5 – Make corrections in your postcards taking into account


comments and suggestions made by tutor and partners.

To develop this activity, consider:


At initial information environment, you must: Check the Course Agenda.

At evaluation environment, you must: Send screenshots with exercises


and 3 postcards in the forum. Each student must make at least 2
comments about other partners’ postcards.

At learning environment, you must: Load individual task in PDF format


including corrections suggested by partners.

Take into account that the final task must be a product of your ingenuity
and creativity. For no reason tasks that are not original or are taken from
Internet will be accepted.

In a PDF format each student must conoslidate the following evidences of


his participation in the forum:

- Front page with full name, code, program he/she studies and group
number, among others.

1. Screenshots of practice exercises taken from the forum.


2. 3 postcards of relative chosen (if you use a software or an app, you
must share the link of that software).
3. Evidence of meaningful comments about other group partners’
postcards (corrections, suggestions, etc.)
4. If you cited, you must include Table of References.

2. General guidelines for the development of the evidence to


submit

For evidence developed Individual, consider the following


guidelines:

1. Every member of the group must participate with academic


contributions in the activity development.

2. Before delivering the requested product, all the requirements


indicated in this activity guide must be checked.

3. All tasks must take into account spelling rules and requirements
stated in the guide.

4. Every member must share meaningful contributions along the


activity.

5. Every member of the group are responsible for making individual


task requested.

Take into account that all individual or group written work must fulfill
with the orthographic rules and presentation conditions that have been
defined.
Concerning the use of references, consider that the requested work in
this activity must fulfil with the standards Elija un elemento.
In any case, the standards of reference must be complied. Academic
plagiarism must be avoided. Students can support the written products
by using the Turnitin tool found on the virtual campus.
