Key signature

What is a key?
When in a melody, notes are mostly from C major scale. And it sounds good to end
the tune with C. We say it is in the ‘key of C major’.

3. Here is the place for Key Signature.
1. All the notes are from C major scale 2. Sound nice to end on C
Because there is no sharp/ lat in C major
scale,
That’s why here the key signature we write
nothing.

This is G major scale. It contains F#. We put F# at the key signature. Once we
put key signature, we don’t need to put ‘#’ sign in front of ‘F’ notes.

In bass clef, we write F# here. Key signature is


always right after the clef.
Rules for key signature:
1.We write key signature at beginning of each line
2. The ‘#’ sharp sign is applied to F in every register.
