I. OBJECTIVES
- At the end of 40 minutes, the learner should be able to:
a) Understand what are the two kinds of sentences and its differences.
b) Apply their understanding through identifying whether it is asking or telling
sentences on the given sets of examples and activity.
c) Give importance to the proper usage of punctuation in the sentences.

A. Preliminary Activities

B. Review
 Recall the Previous Lesson
 “Graphic Organizers”

C. Lesson Proper
i. Discuss and differentiate the two kinds of sentences
 Telling sentences – tells or talk about something. It ends with a period
(.).
 Asking sentences – a sentence that asks. Also called a question. It ends
with a question mark (?).
ii. Give more examples of the two kinds of Sentences.

IV. Generealization
- By the given examples,ask them if it is Telling sentences or Asking sentences and put
a proper punctuation at the end of the sentences.

V. Evaluation / Activity
- Application of their undertanding through the activity given.
- Write before the number T if it is a telling sentences and A if it is an asking
sentences. Then put the correct punctuation mark at the end.

VI. Assignment.
- Since Friday, we need don’t have an assignment today, maybe next week I will you
an assignment.
