1ª) Are parenting manuals popular in your country?

No they aren´t, but are many books or magazines about that but just some people read it. Because for many new
parents it´s easier search on internet that read a big book.
1b do you think good parenting is something that can be learnt for a book or is it instinctive?
I think that it is instinctive, because I saw it in many people but I think too that some help for books it´s not bad
especially with illness

2) How do you think the different editions of the book might have been influenced by the changing times?
I think that the book has been influenced by the changing times, because in 1946 the fathers can´t help with child
care may be because he was work a lot but in 1998, when mom´s works too, the fathers need to help more at home,
and finally it´s the same with entertainment because the technology change comics to videogames and a lot of
parents think in both years that it was a waste of time.

a- How did Dr Spock’s ideas about fathers and entertainment change over the years?
1. Fathers, in 1946 fathers did not help at home, but in 1998 a lot of fathers take care for childs
2. And for entertainment, 1946 they consider a waste of time comics, or jazz and in 1998 the internet and video
games

b- What do you think of his advice? Is this advice universal? Is it relevant in your country or culture?
I consider that his advice is correct, and universal too, because his book was translated to 39 languages, and it could
be relevant in my country for a lot of parents.
