CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

Presenter: JOY E. CASTILLON

Curriculum development
can be defined as the step-by-step process used to create positive
improvements in the courses offered by a school, college or university. ... As a
result, an institution has to have a plan in place for acknowledging these shifts
and then be able to implement them in the school curriculum.

Foundations
are the forces that influence the minds of curriculum developers, which affect the
content and structure of the curriculum. These forces are beliefs and orientations
as well as conceptions of learning and the needs of society.
