The pce is then parted off and trimmed toa length of 5.300" ~ 0,005", (Once you get the receiver blank fished on the lathe (or f you got one from Matrix Precision or wherever), I's ready for milling operation. Next you want to screw the barrel nto the receiver blank hand tight (make sure there are no burrs an the receiver blank before you do this). hold the blenk in @ small miling vise using 4/8" thick plastic (cpve) pads cut fom a large sheet, to protect the surface ‘The receiver blank will ned to be held in the vise so that approximately 0.25" is above the top ofthe vise aw.
