Maria Salomea Skłodowska-Curie, known as Marie Curie. It was a


physics, mathematics and chemistry.

Today we have the opportunity to interview a famous
scientist, Marie Curie.

and my partner is fiorella gordillo. Our final project is an
interview with marie curie.

Yes of course.

+Tell me, how was your childhood?


It was very difficult, because at the age of ten I attended a
boarding school.
+ Would you describe your family?
I was the fifth daughter, my father was a high school
teacher in Physics and Mathematics, and my mother a
teacher, pianist and Singer.

+How did you start your scientific carrer?


I started my scientific career in 1984 (one thousand nine
hundred eighty-four) with an investigation of the
magnetic properties of various steels.

+What were you discovers?


I discovered polonium and radium

+What were you greatest achievements?


In 1903 (one thousand nine hundred three), the Royal
Academy of Sciences was the winner of the Nobel Prize in
Physics.

+Did you feel discriminated against for being a woman?


That's right, I had to overcome obstacles for being a
woman.

+ How does it feel to be the first woman to receive a


Nobel Prize?
I felt very happy because I had to go through several
obstacles.
+ What do you think of the paper you had during the first
world war?
During the First World War I created the first radiological
centers for military use.
+ What countries did you visit?
I visited France and the United States
