Good afternoon, i’m Sergio Pelaez, i studied mechatronic engineering at National Engineering

University. My first job experience was at Petroperú as a project practitioner. In that

experience, I help the project leader to manage every project he had. For example CCTV
project in all the terminals around Perú. The other one, that was the most interesting for me,
was the ilo terminal automation. I evaluate with many vendors the equipment and
maintenance proposal

Then,my next job experience was as an instrumentation and control trainee at Kallpa, an
energy generation company at Chilca. There, I maintain the instrumentations and control
devices such as motor control valves, pneumatic control valves, pressure, temperature, level
and flow transmitters, and another ones that were very special because they are used to avoid
explosions or another potential disaster. I worked with very big gas and steam turbines. The
gas turbines were Siemens, with an energy generation of 190MW, and the steam turbine with
an energy generation of 210MW. It was very interesting because, one of my best challenge
was to develop a Condition Based Maintenance System with the PI Osisoft System. You can see
my work in linkedin profile, and there were many captures of the system I made for the
principal pumps in the company, showing the efficiency, the bearing temperature and
vibration.

Then I worked at Fibraforte, as a mechatronic engineer. I manage electric and mechanic

maintenance. I develop an predictive maintenance plan to the most critical actives such as the
principal extruder in the company.

And my actual job is at OPP Film, as a maintenance engineer. I manage and leader the ACR
meetings to improve our indicators such as mechanic avaibility . I work with results
orientation, fox example my goal was the 98% avaibility of the extruder lines. I work
developing the maintenance plan and improvement projects to avoid emergency shutdowns of
the plant.

Other important studies I made, were the diploma in operational reliability and maintenance
management. And at the moment I am studying and specialization in maintenance engineering
and asset management at Piura University.
