1. Discuss how the FBL, TBL, and SET approaches view the strategic orientation and the
process to developing the mission and vision statements of organizations. Be sure to provide
examples to illustrate your points.
a. FBL, TBL and Set organization differ in the emphasis, strategic orientation, and
nature of process of the mission and vision statements.
i. FBL approach emphasizes maximizing competitive advantage, which
follows the assumption that success depends on out performing other
firms
ii. TBL approach have a competitive strategic orientation but they also
recognize that certain instances may call for a collaborative strategic
orientation.
