COSHH Risk Assessor training

I am pleased to enclose the following information on the COSHH Risk Assessor Training.

Aim
This course is aimed at anyone who has been charged with the duty of carry out risk assessment, the reasons
for conducting COSHH risk assessment; the main legislation relating to COSHH risk assessments; and the com-
petencies required of assessors.
The course also covers hazardous substances and their effects on the body
The programme includes instruction on the main classification for hazardous substances; the interpretation of
information from safety data sheets as well as the use of workplace exposure limits, the factors affecting assess-
ments of risk plus risk control strategies.
The course covers every aspect of the COSHH risk assessment - from recording the findings and making recom-
mendations based upon them to reviewing and revising an assessment.

Course Duration
The course will be one day duration and tailored to include client’s internal procedures and documentation
Material Data Sheets for reference purposes and inclusion within the presentation, prior discussion will be
required prior to commencement of training.
