I am Hoiyun Lee, a college graduate from the University of Santo Tomas, where I took

up Fine Arts and majored in Painting in the Philippines. I am also currently studying for a

master’s degree at the University of the Philippines Los Baños major in Master of Arts in

Communication Arts. Through this letter, I hope to introduce myself and fully express my

interest in becoming a part of your company.

I am positively confident that I am suitable for this job. Being a Korean immigrant in the

Philippines, I had lifetime socialization with Filipinos and Koreans; it allowed me to speak

fluently in both languages. Culture plays a vital role in shaping communication style. When

people from different cultures communicate, these characteristics can often become barriers. I

believe delivering clear communication lines can help encourage people to interact and build

trust, among others. Living in the Philippines for a long time, I have an excellent understanding

of both cultures. I know I can play a crucial role in breaking cultural barriers when delivering

messages. It’s a privilege for me to be in a position that allows me to learn further and provide

cultural understanding between two unique, diverse countries.
