DOS & DON’TS FOR PRINTER

1) Please ensure availability of paper in the tray


2) Do not change any printer settings, for any assistance contact IT
Helpdesk
3) Please put the waste printouts in the “Trash/Recycle tray” for
recycling
4) Take duplex print out wherever possible.
 To print on both sides go to ‘File’ menu click ‘Print’ then click
‘Properties’, in properties go to ‘Finishing’ and put check mark
on ‘Print On Both Sides’ and save it as ‘Default Print Settings’
5) Collect your print out immediately
6) Please do not shred somebody else’s printout
7) Take assistance when changing the cartridge
S.O.P. FOR PROJECTOR
1) Press ‘Power’ to start the projector
2) Connect the cable from projector to the laptop/desktop
3) To toggle between laptop screen and projector screen, press
combination keys, Function + F7 (Combination changes with the
laptop model)
4) Switch off the projector when not in use
5) Handle the projector with care
6) Do not immediately switch-on the projector once it is turned off.
DOS AND DON’TS OF FAX
1) Mention recipient’s name on the document before faxing it
2) Ensure corners of the paper are straightened before inserting it in
FAX machine
3) Use a dedicated line for FAX
4) Take assistance to replace toner
5) Set Fax machine to receive incoming fax automatically
6) Do not try to pull out jammed paper from the machine
7) Do not displace the fax-net
S.O.P FOR PHOTOCOPYING
1) Lift the lid and place the original on the screen of the machine along
the size scale
2) Close the lid
3) Enter the number of copies you want.
4) Use stop/clear to change the number of copies
5) Ensure availability of paper in the tray
6) Press ‘Start’ to commence photocopying
7) Remove the ‘original’ and collect photocopies
