AFIA SAFOA KANTANKA

VISION STATEMENT
To help provide members with needed skills for better life and to make YoKA KNUST be
recognized as the best campus chapter in YoKA and the church as a whole.
MISSION
 To hold seminars and workshop trainings to enlighten the members in acquiring
skill and knowledge to develop themselves, the church and the nation.
 To empower the Project committee to develop innovation by providing the needed
support.
 To strengthen the shepherd system by orienting each party (shepherd and sheep) on
their roles, holding love feast in every month, and ensuring full participation of
various shepherd groups in any activity held.
 To create a medium that connect the union and her alumni to get them on board in
decisions that affects the whole being of members.
 To organize skill training like driving, and swimming sections as part of acquiring
skills and also to improve on the Sunday’s activities.
 To empower the ladies by engaging them in most activities especially during Friday
Meeting and organizing sections that seeks to address their needs.
PROBLEMS
 Ineffectiveness of the mentorship program.
 Inadequate plastic chairs to accommodate members in all gathering.
 Low attendance of members especially on Friday meetings.
 Financial burden on members
SOLUTIONS
 To hold ‘mentors and mentees day’ program at the beginning of each semester on
‘roles of the mentor and mentee’, ensuring effectiveness and sustainability and also
to honor the best mentors and mentees to motivate others.
 Contact the alumni and other prominent people in the church to come to the union’s
aid to purchase enough chairs for the union.
 To motivate members by organizing interesting programs on Friday and awarding
members that are devoted and punctual in all activities at the end of each semester.
And creating a committee whose work is to bring absentees on board.
