AIR POLLUTANT

Air toxic could be emitted during extraction industry, refining, transportation, storage, petrol chemical
industry.

1. Methane emission industries include agriculture, oil and gas, mining and waste management
industries.
2. Carbon dioxide
3. Carbon monoxide
4. Nitrogen oxides
5. Sulphur oxides
6. Ozone
7. Particulates matter
8. Lead
9. Benzene found in gasoline
10. Volatile organic compounds from oil and gas production
11. Hydrogen sulphide

WATER POLLUTANTS

1. Oil spills from car, truck, machinery can be washed away by rain into the water bodies
2. Leaks from the underground tanks and abandoned refinery
3. Hydrocarbon that comprised refined petroleum also happen to be a pollutants.

LAND POLLUTANTS

Oil spills from vehicles also pollute the land

1. Atmospheric fallout (oil that pollutes the air from vehicles and planes can also pollute the land)
2. Natural seeps: oil that oozes up out of the ground.

SOIL POLLUTANTS

1. Nickel (NI): mining; foundry activities; construction activities


2. Herbicides/Insecticides:agricultural activities; gardening
