A Message From Our CEO

Let's watch the video again!

A Message From Our CEO

A few years ago, I felt l ke I was stuck n a rut, so I dec ded to

follow n the footsteps of the great Amer can ph losopher,
Morgan Spurlock, and try someth ng new for 30 days. The dea
s actually pretty s mple. Th nk about someth ng you've always
wanted to add to your l fe and try t for the next 30 days. It
turns out 30 days s just about the r ght amount of t me to add a
new hab t or subtract a hab t -- l ke watch ng the news -- from
your l fe.
A Message From Our CEO
There's a few th ngs I learned wh le do ng these 30-day
challenges. The f rst was, nstead of the months fly ng by,
forgotten, the t me was much more memorable. Th s was part
of a challenge I d d to take a p cture every day for a month. And
I remember exactly where I was and what I was do ng that day.
I also not ced that as I started to do more and harder 30-day
challenges, my self-conf dence grew. I went from desk-
dwell ng computer nerd to the k nd of guy who b kes to work.
For fun!
Even last year, I ended up h k ng up Mt. K l manjaro, the h ghest

Our CEO
before I started my 30-day challenges.
I also f gured out that f you really want someth ng badly enough,
you can do anyth ng for 30 days.
Have you ever wanted to wr te a novel? Every November, tens of
thousands of people try to wr te the r own 50,000-word novel,
from scratch, n 30 days. It turns out, all you have to do s wr te
1,667 words a day for a month. So I d d. By the way, the secret s
not to go to sleep unt l you've wr tten your words for the day. You
m ght be sleep-depr ved, but you'll f n sh your novel. Now s my
book the next great Amer can novel? No. I wrote t n a month. It's
awful.
A Message From Our CEO

But for the rest of my l fe, f I meet John Hodgman at a TED

party, I don't have to say, "I'm a computer sc ent st." No, no, f I
want to, I can say, "I'm a novel st."
So here's one last th ng I'd l ke to ment on. I learned that when I
made small, susta nable changes, th ngs I could keep do ng,
they were more l kely to st ck. There's noth ng wrong w th b g,
crazy challenges. In fact, they're a ton of fun. But they're less
l kely to st ck. When I gave up sugar for 30 days, day 31 looked
l ke th s.
A Message From Our CEO

So here's my quest on to you: What are you wa t ng for? I

guarantee you the next 30 days are go ng to pass whether you
l ke t or not, so why not th nk about someth ng you have
always wanted to try and g ve t a shot! For the next 30 days.
What is the idea of 30-day
challenge?
What habit would you like to
add to your life? Why?
What habit would you like to
subtract from your life? Why?
Let's discuss!

It s eas er to acqu re a new hab t.

It s eas er to subtract an old one.

scratch.
