MEAL AND REST BREAK POLICY

It is the policy of “THE COMPANY”. to comply with the labor laws regarding meals and breaks.

Rest periods

All employees are permitted a two (2) 15-minute rest break for each four-hour work period.
Breaks are not permitted at either the beginning or end of the workday to offset arrival and
departure times. Ensure that the employee will wash their hands before returning to work.

Meal periods

All employees who work eight or more hours in a day are required to take an unpaid meal break
of 30 minutes. Meal breaks are not counted toward hours worked.

The employees must:

 Must be completely relieved from duty during their meal break.


 The employee must ensure to only occupy the seats that has no marking in it and only
take their meal breaks at the pantry area.
 The employee must avoid sharing meals to his co-worker.
 It is also encouraged that the employees’ must bring their own utensils, mugs, and
tumblers in the office.
 Ensure that the employee will wash their hands before returning to work.

Enforcement

Team Leaders are responsible for the scheduling of meal and rest periods. Team Leaders must
ensure that the staffs must follow the one (1) meter distance in the pantry area and the staffs
only occupying the seats without marking. Employees who fail to return on time from breaks or
lunch and do not follow the safety protocol will be subject to disciplinary action.
