Getting Started with the Strategy Consultants’ Presentation Toolkit

The Strategy Consultants’ Presentation Toolkit has a lot of great information in it, but it can also be used
as a template for building your own great presentation. The following steps will get you started.

Step 1: Download all the components or files of the toolkit to your computer.
Step 2: After ensuring that you have Microsoft PowerPoint installed (Office 2003 or higher), install the
Mekko Graphics software. To do so, simply click on the downloaded .EXE file (MekkoGraphics.exe) that
came with the Toolkit and follow the installation instructions.
Step 3: Once installed, launch PowerPoint and indicate that you want to use the 30-day trial (or enter
your license key code if you have already made a purchase). You should notice that you now have a new
menu item labeled Mekko Graphics.

Step 4: Go to FileOpen, and open the Strategy Consultants’ Presentation Toolkit PowerPoint slide
deck file that came with the Toolkit. Then return to File and either open your own presentation or click
New to create a new one. You will now have two open PowerPoint presentation files.
Step 5: Return to the Strategy Consultants’ Presentation Toolkit and navigate to the slide you would like
to use/copy. You can now copy the entire slide or copy just the chart. Return to your own presentation
(or the new one you just created) and paste.
Step 6: You can now activate the chart by double clicking it, and adjust the source data, colors, etc. using
the Mekko Graphics software.
