The app is to protect the community against COVID-19 pandemic, helping bring

the life back to normal. Viet Nam’s Ministry of Information and Communications
and Ministry of Health, under the direction by the Prime Minister, have deployed
the app called “Bluezone - Contact detection” to smartphones.

Bluezone shall alert if you had close contact with people who have COVID-19,
thereby minimizing the spread of the virus to the community, helping people return
to their normal life. When there is a new case of infection, you can learn whether
you had close contact with this case or not simply by accessing Bluezone. The
more people install Bluezone, there more effective it is.

A certain amount of news, in fact, has direct or indirect influence on ordinary

people’s various life aspects. For one thing, the information regarding the
occurrence in the local environment may affect public’s decisions on their plans or
daily activities for work, study, or leisure. Weather forecast on mobile phone, for
instance, provides some clues or reference to users for the choice of their proper
clothes and the arrangement of outdoor activities or itineraries during a trip.

Even for the news that is not closely related to people’s interests, knowing it may
not be time-wasting as long as a certain form of value is offered. First of all, some
news coverage about celebrities’ s scandals and anecdotes or the results of matches
on the entertainment or sports sections of e-papers could hardly affect peoples’ life
quality but does provide ideal common topics for them to have a chat and socialize
with their family members, friends, colleagues and classmates. In addition, a large
amount of information reported is admittedly far from the majority’s core daily
routines, yet helps broaden their scope of general knowledge and better shape their
cognition of the world.

Students who played Kahoot! in the classroom reported feeling more confident
answering quiz questions, particularly with Kahoot!’s option to play anonymously,
and also felt more comfortable asking questions in the discussion period of class.
Teachers confirmed this finding, as they reported an increase in their students’
participation—even among shy students—as well as improved concentration,
motivation, and understanding of the content.
