High Dump

For schematic, K Fig 14. ( T E-43).

During simultaneous slew and boom up operation,

operation of boom up priority spool A in the slew feed line
restricts the flow to the slew motor thereby increasing the
flow to the boom up line and increasing the speed of boom
up.

Turning the high dump switch ON routes an electrical

signal to the controller and an electrical signal to the
monitor where the message `Boom Priority' is displayed.
When the boom up control is operated, pilot pressure
switches the boom up pressure switch on the shuttle block
to send a signal to controller and from the controller an
electrical signal is sent to boom-up priority solenoid valve
B. The solenoid switches and sends a pilot signal from the
priority valve (port C2) to the main control valve (port Pi7)
This now moves the priority spool into the restricted
position. This allows more oil to be available for boom up,
which will increase the boom up speed.
