Scribely Business Use Case Templates Brief

Project background:

Within our online animated video tool, Scribely, we have a range of pre-made video
templates (example here). These are not only a great feature for users looking to make quick
professional-looking videos, but they help us market the software. Essentially, they’re set up
so that all users have to do is edit the text and potentially the colours or images and then
they have a ready-made custom video.

We've currently been creating these internally, focusing on using illustrations from the
Scribely image library. Now, we want to expand the range of templates and styles to
showcase different designers - and their own unique style to appeal to a wider audience and
target key use cases (more detail on the use cases below).

Objective:

To create new unique animated video templates that use custom assets from outside of the
Scribely library to help our current and prospective users create impressive animations that
meet their objectives quickly and easily.

Target audience:

Business (including not-for-profit organisations) - they make indirect revenue from Scribely
by using it to create marketing materials like social media posts and explainer videos. They
might also use Scribely for internal communications, creating animations to explain change
or notify teams.
Requirements:

While we’re looking for new creative designs, they do still have to work within Scribely. That
means the assets uploaded have to be an SVG, .jpg, .png or GIF (no video). All elements
(text, images and graphics) will also automatically animate by being drawn, with or without a
hand.

However, we’re not looking for you to create the templates directly in Scribely - we can do
that. What we’re looking for is the designs and assets that we can upload. With that in mind,
the deliverables will be a design/storyboard and the planned graphics ready to use.

We’d also like the templates to showcase as much of the Scribely functionality as possible
including: a background colour, gradient or image, text, shapes and/or patterns, be set
across a minimum of three scenes and use a range of canvas sizes (square, portrait and
16:9). Please plan for this in your design.

Template length:

Around 30 - 60 seconds, or maximum 3 scenes

Timeline:

Due August 6th, 2021.

We’ve identified these key use cases that we want the templates to cover:

this is who we are and this is our unique selling point.

6 Business Create a message i.e. customer testimonial.
