WORK PROCEDURE installation of Asphalt Conerete Binder Course and Surface Course Survey Stake out ‘The survey stake out shall establish the edge line and centre line of the road and establish control points at defined stations for both alignment and elevation control in conformity with design shown on the Drawings. The mixture shall be placed ata temperature of between 120 to 165 degrees Celeius. ) Laying Using Bitumen Distibutors, the spreading operation shall be such that it produces a finished surface that is to line and levelas per specifications without segregation and dragging. The underlying course shall dry and in suitable condition before placement fand the weather must be favourable ©) Compaction This shall commence immediately after spreading with rollers and it shall be thorough and uniform with each layer being rolled when the mixture isin sucha condition that rolling will not eause undue displacement or shoving.
