Around 73,000 expats have uploaded their vaccine certificates taken abroad on the Ministry of Health portal to facilitate their return to
the country, out of which 18,000 certificates were approved while 10,000 vaccination certificates were rejected due to several reasons,
local daily Al-Rai reported.

According to report, over 10,000 certificates were rejected for technical reasons related to type of vaccine or not completing the data on
vaccination or certificates does not contain QR code to verify the issuing authority etc.

Specially formed committee is working to intensify its efforts to speed up the approval of certificates which is the most important
condition for allowing expats to return to Kuwait.

While the government earlier announced that the expatriates who completed vaccination abroad can return to Kuwait starting from
August 1st, a detailed procedure for this is expected to be announced shortly.
