The proposed extension will ensure continuation of maternal and child nutrtion-specific interventions during the first 1,000 days and for continued institutionalization of F1KD services at the community and facility level while also strengthening nutrition actions in the F1KD as a component of the COVID 19 emergency response, recovery, and rehabilitation. In Phase 1, sustainability interventions have been initiated like the training capacity built at the provincial level including the municipal level staff so the LGUs can conduct trainings beyond the project life. Somemodifications are needed to refine, enhance and strengthen BF1KD implementation in various platforms, and introduce needed adjustment in the tracking system to respond to the emerging technical, operational, and_ structural challenges in the project implementation due to COVID 19, In this regard, NUHKI together with the Provincial Health Office will conduct the refresher course on the enhanced Tracking System(Day 1) and BF1KD facilitator’s guide (Day 2) at Zuri’s Hotel, Iloilo City, lloilo on December 14 and 15, 2020, 8:30am — 5:00 pm.
