GLUE HERE
Did you know that Jesus was promised WAY before the New Testament was ever
written? In the Old Testament, people who received messages about the future
from God (Prophets) wrote about these messages. In one of these verses, the
Prophet Isaiah says,
“For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given;
And the government shall be upon His shoulder,
And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
God always knew that we would need Jesus, a Savior, who would take away our sins.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only
Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but
have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge
the world, but to save the world through him.”
John 3:16-17

GLUE HERE
In those days it occurred that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the
whole Roman empire should be registered. And all the people were going to be registered,
each to his own town.
And Joseph also
went up from the
town of Nazareth, to
the town of
Bethlehem, where he
was from, to be
enrolled with Mary,
his wife, who was
about to become a
mother.

And while they were there, the time came for Mary to have the baby. And she gave birth to her
Son, her Firstborn; and she wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:7
Jesus is Born
GLUE HERE
And in the area there were shepherds out under the open sky in the field, watching over their flock by
night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone all about
them, and they were terribly frightened.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the
people. For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ the Lord! And this will be a sign
for you of how you can recognize Him: you will find a Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”
Then suddenly there appeared with the angel an army of the troops of heaven praising God and saying, ”Glory
to God in the highest, and on earth peace to all men.”
When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, “Let us go over to
Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
Luke 2:8-15

King Herod secretly sent for the wise men, who were astrologers, and learned from them the
time the star had first appeared. Then he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search
carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come
and worship Him.” After hearing the king, they went their way; and behold, the star, which
they had seen in the east, went on before them continually leading the way until it came and
stood over the place where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced
exceedingly with great joy. And after entering the house, they saw the Child with Mary His
mother; and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then, after opening their treasure chests,
they presented to Him gifts fit for a king, gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And having
been warned by God in a dream not to go back to Herod, the magi left for their own
country by another way.
