Learning Outcomes and Outline

This unit is about STEM pedagogy and its application in teaching-learning. At the end of the unit
teachers will be able to:
⮚ reflect on the goals of science referring back to SNC curriculum document and visualize
the need for STEM pedagogy within science teaching and learning;
⮚ explore the STEM pedagogy within the new SNC curriculum and using science
textbooks;
⮚ demonstrate the use of STEM pedagogy to teach science in an integrated way; and,
⮚ apply the key features and elements of STEM pedagogy referring to the curriculum and
textbooks using ‘Make-it STEM’ tool.
You will cover some of the unit content during your training through Microsoft TEAMS. You will
cover the rest of the content, on your own, through LMS.
