improvement.Foreachprofessionallearningstandard,Iratedwheretheschoolcurrentlystands,
providedevidenceoftherating,andsharedrecommendationsforimproving.

Completingthisartifacthelpedmegainabetterunderstandingofthecurrentrealityof
professionallearningopportunitieswithinourschoolanddistrict.Iwasalsoabletodevelopmyown
recommendationsforimprovementandseekcollaborativeopportunitiestosharemylearningwith
administration.Toimprovetheprocessinvolvedincreatingthisartifact,Iwouldhaveteachersin
varyingcontentareastakenotesontheprofessionaldevelopmentsessionstheyarerequiredto
attendandhavethemansweraspecificsetofquestions.Thesequestionswouldincludedescriptions
ofnewstrategiesandtoolsprovided,howteachersareexpectedtoimplementnewstrategiesand
tools,howoftentheyareexpectedtoimplementthestrategiesandtools,andhowthenew
strategiesandtoolswillbeevaluatedforeffectiveness.Thiswouldgivemeabetterunderstandingof
allprofessionallearningopportunitiesandnotjusttheonesIhaveattended.

Theworkthatwentintocreatingthisartifactimpactsfacultydevelopmentbecauseit
providesabetterviewofwhatiscurrentlytakingplaceandhowitcanbeimprovedtohavea
betterimpact.Currently,theprofessionallearningtakingplaceinthedistrictdoesnotmeet
majoritylevel3and4forprofessionallearningstandardssothereisalotofgrowththatcouldbe
madetoimproveteachingpractice.
