Recommendation

An invasive autopsy by opening all the body cavities represents the traditional means of postmortem
investigation in humans. Body fluid aspiration study with various tissue biopsy analyses have been tried
to supplement and ultimately replace, if possible, the traditional method of late. With the advancement
of medical fraternities, modern cross-sectional imaging modalities such as computed tomography (CT)
scan, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), etc., have been implemented with successful prospect.[2]

Negative autopsy is a post-mortem examination in which a comprehensive analysis does not

provide a cause of death. These include situation of death, anatomical and histological analysis,
toxicology and microbiological study.
