ABOUT FACULTY OF PHYSIOTHERAPY


Faculty of Physiotherapy was established in the year 2008 .The courses are designed to prepare students for
Bachelor's, Master's and P.hD Degree in Physiotherapy with aim to develop foundation of research & evidence-
based practice. FPHY consists of 13 faculty members specializing in varied fields who are highly qualified,
competent & experienced. Currently, we have more than 500 students in Bachelor, Master and P.hD.. Students of
physiotherapy get exposure from SGT Multispeciality Hospital with more than 800 beds. In MPT, FPHY provides
specialisation in Sports, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Community Rehabilitation, Obstetrics &
Gynaecology. Faculty has state of the art Research, Exercise therapy and Electrotherapy laboratories with latest
machines and equipments, smart classrooms, industry exposure for student's to practice.

ABOUT CONFERENCE
The hustle and bustle of everyday life takes a toll on our bodies, and Physiotherapy can act as preventive
and/or curative medicine, that is far cheaper and more beneficial than simply curative medicines.

The international E-Conference on Evolving Physiotherapy Practices aims on following themes-

the field of Physiotherapy providing a premier interdisciplinary platform to share their experiences and

Objectives
• Critically evaluating and synthesising the key issues drawn from the literature, relating to an emerging
area of contemporary Physiotherapy practice
• Identify and justify the knowledge, skills, behaviours and values which are required by Physiotherapists to
be effective in undertaking a specified role within the selected area of contemporary Physiotherapy
practice, both now and in the future.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR PAPER AND
E-POSTER PRESENTATION

GENERAL GUIDEINES
• It should be a structured abstract including background, purpose, methodology, results,
and conclusion
• Word limit is 150-300 words
• Keywords should be provided as a must (3-6 key words)
• Keywords should be written in lowercase letters and should be separated with commas
• Please do not include subheadings, bullets, lists and header/footer in the abstract
• Abstract titles should be short, but descriptive. Abbreviations should not be used in the title
• Acronyms should be written in full the first time, mentioned in the text, followed by the
abbreviation in parentheses
• There shall be no citations or references in the abstract

FONT
• Title: Times New Roman, 12 points, Upper case, Centered text in bold
• Body: Times New Roman, 11 points; Line spacing: 1

AFFILIATIONS
• Affiliations should be indicated with superscript Arabic numbers appearing at the
end of surname/family name of the authors
• Name of the presenting author should be in bold letters and underlined
• Names of affiliations should be given including the country
• If there is more than one name and address, they should be related by superscript numbers

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
• Submit your abstract to conference_physio@sgtuniversity.org by 12 AM, 28th July, 2021
• After submission you will be acknowledged via an email with in Two Working days
• Last date for submission of E-posters and recorded paper presentations (applicable to only
accepted abstracts) is 29th July, 2021
