Customer requirement: frequently customers demands canopy for AC motors as

an accessory. There fore we are providing these motors with MS fabricated

canopy as custom built feature.

Background: While dispatching the motors we fit the canopy with eye bolts and
rest of canopy portion remains unsupported. This unsupported potion rubs with
fan cover during transportation. (ref photo graph no. ----) we recived many
complaints on account of fan cover damage, color pill of etc..

Action: To over come this problem we have provided four rubber pads between
canopy and stator body. Those rubber pads are restricting the free movement of
unsupported portion of canopy during transportation. The rubber pads are
mounted between two ribs of stator body. (ref phot graph --- )

Result: we have monitor the damages of canopy motors with above change and
found that the fan cover damages reported were nil.

Close looping actions:

1. Training of packing persons.

2. Changing of packing TS.

Notes:
1. The rubber pads are used in existing packing skim and no additional
component development is involved.
2. Packing time is not affected with the change.
3. Minor cost of rubber component saves lot of customer complaint and further
work.

Our important export customer M/s TOYHU Japan has appreciated the
