Malala article – summarization

The article talks about this Pakistani girl named Malala. By the time of the incident she
has had quite a national presence and reputation as a young activist for education and
women's education rights in Pakistan. Because she was quite a high-profile person in
Pakistani society in that time she was in danger from the military Taliban tribes
scattered in Pakistan. Her home region was called Swat and rises above the
educational standards in Pakistan. One day the Taliban decided to act and stopped
the bus to school she was on. The two young Taliban members preceded to shoot
Malala in the head. She was escorted to the operation room and after 9 months of
recovery and moving to England she partially fully recovered. On her 16th birthday she
gave a speech in front of the UN.
The BBC team tracked her home and her homeschool in Pakistan. They had been
escorted there by the Pakistani military. There they met her father, also a powerful
figure in the school systems of Swat. In her school they met her friend and her teachers.
They all talk about Malala in a great light. The shooting incident shocked them greatly.
Their repliques could be summarized as wanting her to continue her struggle for
education and that they are with her.
