• Look into the data:


• Check out your school improvement plan and the
baseline data included.
• Run attendance, behavior, and score or grade
reports.
• Examine any social emotional records you have.

• Write your SMART goal! Consider chatting with your admin.


You’ll get more support for any programming or services
you do in relation to the goal if you have their
approval/investment in the goal.

• Reflect on Your Program: How could your comprehensive


school counseling program be even better?

• Reflect on Yourself as a Professional: How could you be


even more amazing as a school counselor?

• Put your goal sheet(s) in your counseling binder or some


place else where you will see it regularly!

• Bonus: Find an accountability partner. A buddy that you


can check in with every month or so and discuss progress,
action steps, and roadblocks.
