The belief that wiping a piece of cloth on the images or figures of saints does not

quite make sense to me. For instance, during Translacion,  devotees would
desperately be wanting to get close to the Black Nazarene and wipe their special
cloth or handkerchiefs on the sacred image as they believe it is infused with
miraculous and sacred power that can be passed when touched. This idea does not
resonate with me by the fact that having a strong and deep faith and relationship
with him is enough. In cases of miracles due to wiping of the handkerchief on the
sick person, it for me is just a coincidence. It is because of their well-
established faith that made possible the miracle. If things don't go as planned, it
is sufficient to say that maybe God had better plans in store for us and it
happened for a reason.
