project appraisal

How would you change the list?

 I would change the list only by ensuring that three main things are
accomplished or not.
1. I will see all the project management processes that were planned for project
have been executed.
2. All the work planned in the project scope has been completed.
3. And at last I will see that all the parties have given their final sign off and
approval for the project.

Q3.To what degree should the postmortem be comprehensive? why.

 The postmortem should provide the causes of project failure and clearly give
measures on how to prevent them in future.
 The possible causes of project failure should be clearly identified which
includes inadequate risk management, poor communication among the team,
lacking detailed documentation, a poorly defined project scope and lack of
skill and training from the project managers among others.
 He should then go ahead to provide measures on how to prevent such
failures in the future.
 This includes having a well-trained and skilled team for the projects,
providing adequate risk management, improving the communication,
providing detailed documentation and having a well-defined project scope.

 By doing this, the future projects can be improved in terms of planning and
execution and the mistakes made by a previous project can be avoided
which will increase the performance of the project and will lead to
higher profits means that will fulfill the main aim of the company.
