lessons with videos or methods like this are very easy to attract students.

he thought the person was bankrupt, so that invited my laughter.

Segment 2

Papuan Noken Culture

Noken is a traditional Papuan bag made by women by utilizing materials from nature, the
people who wear these can be found in various places ranging from mountains to urban
areas in Papua. All mothers in Papua while walking, sitting, morning or afternoon, all make
noken, none of them do not, because women in Papua all use noken so no one does not.
From a young woman in Papua learning to make noken and other garden works so that if
they cannot make it, their husbands will be angry in the future. The first step to make noken
is to look for bark in the forest, then dry in the sun after it is made noken. When it becomes
finished, it can be filled with other crops. The red color of the noken comes from the ground,
while the yellow color is from the orchid flower, and the black color from the small tree.
The process of making noken shows the harmonious relationship between nature and
humans. Humans love nature, because nature gives them life. Relationships with nature
provide harmonious values of life between humans, noken which is a symbol of local wisdom
for women's equality, fertility, peace, and brotherhood.
Noken is also a symbol to promote the value of brotherhood of peace and unity among
human beings. This symbolic message is a relevant need to build a hope of a peaceful world
without conflict. The touch of noken plays an important role in the indigenous community
because it is an intermediary, because without it it will affect harmony between one party and
another.
The philosophical value of noken is the natural mind of the Papuans who used to make
noken, can describe before noken is formed starting from processing raw materials, spinning
into yarn, knitting and weaving, so the craftsmen already have a picture. Another
philosophical value is the nature of the Papuans themselves because whatever their needs
are, whatever goods they can enjoy, they can store or carry them with noken. So their
hearts are calm and safe because their belongings are in noken.
In addition to worldly everyday life, noken is also important in religious life, because it is
multifunctional. Noken as a place for babies from 0 years to begin to crawl, so that when
many babies are in noken and holding the mother.
The linkage between women's position and noken is the position of women higher than men
because they are the foundation of life, while noken is also the foundation of life woven by
women. So the position of women in equality of life is only the role of work, but from the
philosophical value of women is the source of life, the foundation of life, and women in
making noken is the focus of a mother.
Besides that, noken is a symbol of covering for genitals for women who cover their entire
backs and are released when they get home, in the kitchen, or in the fields that they think
are private. Noken is like clothes, because genitals are culturally very relative. Noken is
also not suitable if you replace a bag. Noken is different from other cultural heritages
because noken is not a work of the great past, nor is it an artifact that is almost extinct, but a
living culture that is still relevant and still needed and will always be renewed because it still
functions and is needed by the community both in daily life and rituals so that noken is
culture will continue to develop.

Question:
1. Is the message delivered in the Papua noken program?
2. How do you make noken?
3. What is the appropriate proverb for the statement "No noken, affecting harmony
between one party and the other"?

Answer:
1. As humans who live dependent on nature, we must also be able to use and process
natural resources well and for useful things. In addition, this show also contains the
high nature of women, interpreting women as a source of life, foundation of life, and
so forth.
2. The way of making noken is to first look for bark in the forest, pound it, then carry out
the preservation process by soaking it in water so that the wood fibers get stronger,
then drying. The red color of the noken comes from the ground, while the yellow
color is from the orchid flower, and the black color from the small tree. Then the bark
is twisted into threads like small strings (strings). Furthermore, the small rope is
woven into noken. If it's already become noken, it can only be filled with other crops.
3. The appropriate proverb for that statement is
The same weight carried, the same weight carried.
● Sitting as low, standing as tall.
● Divide equally equally, cut equally long.
● Pain as well as groaning, wounds and complains.
Discussion
The four proverbs above have almost the same meaning, that is, something that affects one
party if something is not done fairly.
An example of the meaning of the proverb "Pain equals groaning, wound equal moaning" is
to agree even under any circumstances. The meaning of this proverb shows harmony
among humans to be together under any circumstances.
